With effect from 1 April 2010, Singapore Virtual Area Control Centre will have 2 newly appointed members on our staff.
Jonathan Seet will be appointed as Deputy Director - Singapore vACC, which will run concurrently with his current position as Director - Events. Jonathan is no stranger to us, as he currently serves the vACC as the Events Director and an active mentor of the training team. He is also an active S3 Approach controller at our Singapore TMA. His experience, regular involvement and participation makes him a role model for other junior controllers to follow and learn from.
Delwyn Tan will be appointed as Deputy Director - Events, and be a member of the Events team, with effect from 1st April 2010. Delwyn can be said to be new in our vACC, and this is his first staff appointment. Since joining us a month ago, he has shown potential and active involvement in the day-to-day operations of our vACC, especially through regular controlling sessions. He will be assisting and learning from our Events Director, Jonathan Seet, on the coordination, planning, execution and supervision of all SINvACC-initiated events or external events which involve SINvACC.
Singapore vACC believes in constant leadership renewal, which will allow our junior and younger controllers to take up staff positions and learn the ropes of leading the vACC through their respective staff positions. Staff members will be rotated between the various staff positions, and may hold numerous positions for them understand our vACC operations better, to gain enough experience to step up to become senior staff appointment holders. This will groom them to be better leaders in real life as well.
More information and contact details can be found on our staff page here: http://www.sinvacc.org/staff
Let us welcome both of them to a new term in office!
